Dr. Thomas Van Den Broeck

Dr. Thomas Van den Broeck is a oncologic urologist working at the GZA Ziekenhuizen in Antwerp, Belgium. His main expertise is the treatment of prostate and urothelial cancer, evidence based medicine and guideline development methodology.

His career started with a PhD on the molecular biology of primary high-risk prostate cancer at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. During his residency, he went through training at the Radboud UMC hospital, Nijmegen in The Netherlands for one year and completed his residency at The University Hospitals Leuven, Belgium after which he performed a clinical 2-year fellowship in uro-oncology in the same center.

He is currently involved in the EAU Prostate Cancer Guidelines Panel as a senior associate and is full member of the EAU Methods Committee. He has published more than 70 publications in indexed peer-reviewed journals and has an h-index of 27 with more than 9500 citations.
